How to Know if Short Term Stock Trading is Right for You

There are many different ways for a person to trade or invest. Generally speaking, an investment is something you're going to be in for a long period of time with some vague idea of when you might eventually sell, and hopefully receive a profit. Trading, we know, can be shorter term, and definitely more predictable than this. There are various types of short-term trading. You could be a day trader, or a swing trader. Or you could be only trading every few months.

How do you know if short-term trading is right for you? First of all, you need to have the ability to know whether or not you are truly buying at a good buy point and selling at a good sell point. So you must have reliable charting software. Once you have this, you must have the knowledge to properly read the charts so that you can determine when to buy and sell in order to produce the most profit.

If you get to the place where you feel like you're really good at drawing lines on a chart, understanding chart patterns, and recognizing pivot points both in the overall market and your own individual charts, then short-term stock trading could be right for you!
