Strong Tower

The Bible tells us that the Lord is a strong tower that we can run to, and He'll protect us. Well, in ancient times, for protection, men would build strong towers or castles on hills so that they could watch out for the enemy. The people of the villages would come, bring all their possessions to those places for protection, and the owners would watch over them and protect them. History tells us that what a modern artillery would bring down in only 12 hours would have taken 12 years in that day and time because of the strength of the tower.

That is the analogy that God has given us when He tells us that He is our strong tower. He's our protector, and the enemy can't come up and hurt us, because He's there. He's watching over us. He's protecting us, and He is our strong tower.
